- Creating you own starter is simple. The biggest miss step is time.
- 50/50 water and flour (100 grams of each or so)
- Mix in container (such as mason jar) lightly secure lid
- Let rest for 24 hours
- Discard half of mixture
- Start again at step one
- Starter will be ready in 7 to 10 days
Starter can be saved in fridge feeding once a week or in the freezer for a couple months. I suggest looking up how to keep your starter as it is supposed to get better with age.
